Parkhurst State School’s responsible behaviour plan has a clear and positive focus with an emphasis on being proactive.
Our responsible behaviour plan is based on our five values of Respect, Responsibility, Rigour, Resilience and Relationships.
When all five values are actioned and aligned, the result is the achievement of a good reputation as individuals and a school.
Parkhurst State School also has a proactive schoolwide strategy to responding to bullying, known as the ‘Six Rs’.
This entails actions and responsibilities shared by learners and staff to manage situations as they arise.
These include:
- Recognising that the incident is one of bullying.
- Responding to the ‘bully.’
- Reporting an incident to an adult.
- Record the incident.
- Repair is attempted.
- Resilience – tomorrow is a new day!
